2025 Young Horse Result Exemption Application
The Organising Committee acknowledges the issues riders/owners (Clubs) have had trying to qualify for the Sydney CDI young horse championships. The weather situation in far north NSW and Qld is likely to continue to impact on events before the closing date. EA rules do not stipulate that performance is a requirement for State Young Horse Championships but the Sydney CDI has traditionally required at least one qualifying score of 65% or higher in a young horse competition to be eligible.
We have decided for this event, riders may submit an application for an exemption to compete in the event with official competitive results of 65% or higher at the equivalent level as per below.
- 4 yr old – Prel/Nov
- 5 yr old – Nov/Elem
- 6 yr old – Med
- 7 yr old Adv
Qualifying period: 18 March 2024 – 19 March 2025
Riders/Owners with horses entered in YH qualifiers in the coming weeks are encouraged to continue with their plans to compete as planned.
In the event of oversubscription, young horse results will take precedence and will be considered ahead of official results. Riders/owners seeking an exemption will be assessed by a panel and if approved, horses will be ranked by performance of official results and placed initially on a reserve list. Horse’s will be placed in the competition if time allows or when withdrawals occur.
Competitors are to enter the event by the due date (19/3) and submit results up to the end of March to: [email protected]
