Brett Parbery shines in Boneo at the 2016 Spring CDI3*
It was a double celebration for Brett Parbery at the 2016 Spring CDI*** last weekend, winning the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle with Aber Hallo 29, and placing second in both classes on PPH Zeppelin.
The 12-year-old Westphalian stallion, Aber Hallo 29, demonstrated great promise in only his second CDI Grand Prix outing. Under Brett’s guidance, the pair scored 67.56 percent in the Grand Prix on Saturday, before going on to score a stunning 71.250 percent and secure Sunday’s Freestyle victory.
In the Small Tour Championship it was a tight battle between local rider Abbie O’Brien and West Australian Stephanie Spencer. On a countback, Obrien riding Rajah’s Rave was the eventual winner.
As Fiona Selby, Managing Director, said before the event: “It is at these CDIs that many horse-and-rider-combinations get their first taste of international competition. They learn to perform under greater pressure and scrutiny of FEI accredited judges from across Europe, Asia and Oceania.”
“We look forward to following Brett’s journey with these exciting new GP horses.”
“Our sponsors’ support is incredible. Their commitment to help growing the sport in Australia helps underpin the success of this event at Boneo Park.”
