Entries closed for the 2016 Sydney CDI
There was a last-minute flurry of entries for this year's prestigious Sydney CDI***.
To be held at the 2000 Sydney Olympic venue from April 6 to 9, the 2016 Sydney CDI will be the final chance the nation’s top combinations will have to qualify in Australia for the Olympic dressage team.
Dressage NSW president Helen Lawson said there had been a huge amount of entries received for the competition in the week leading up to the closing date last Friday, February 26.
“We are very pleased with the amount of entries received for this year's Sydney CDI***, with a large number received within the last seven days,” she said.
“There are a total of 214 horses entered for this year's event.
“More than 25 combinations have entered each of the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special, Grand Prix Freestyle, and Intermediate I events.
“With a fantastic shopping village, fine dining and a showcase of dressage, the Sydney CDI*** will certainly live up to its reputation of being an exciting spectacle for all equine enthusiasts again this year.”
The event will also include a huge trade and shopping village, first class entertainment and viewing at the Top Spot Marquee for premium ticket holders, merchandise, school and club educational tours, food and bar area.
The Saturday evening dinner package includes tickets to the Top Spot Marquee to watch the ever-popular Grand Prix Freestyle, plus special show jumping competitions.
